Bottom Line Process Technologies, Inc. offers an electric continuous Swept Surface Starch Cooker, designed to process up to one pound of product/minute at temperatures up to 350°F and pressures up to 120 psi. Originally built for processing of high amylose starch jellies, this machine was designed specifically for food product development and can handle any viscous material that would typically be processed in a traditional swept surface cooker. The Starch Cooker has also been used successfully in non-food industrial starch applications, such as paper and building materials.
The Continuous Starch Cooker is an excellent alternative to jet cooking in facilities without access to food grade steam. The installation is as simple as plugging the unit into a properly grounded outlet, without the maintenance required by steam systems.
